The perpetrators

The data reveals a predominant role of mental health professionals—both public and private—as the primary practitioners of conversion therapy around the globe, followed closely by religious authorities and their affiliates. The survey indicates that almost 9% of therapies involved school and state personnel, posing an alarming risk to LGBTQ+ youth. The visualization exposes the diverse range of actors perpetuating conversion therapy, highlighting the urgent need for action to protect these vulnerable communities.
